It’s all about who we are

Although none of us are immune to COVID-19, the way we manage ourselves throughout the day is up to us.

In times like these the world needs people to stand up and be counted. In a nutshell, we need leadership. People who have the capacity to inspire the rest of us to take responsibility for ourselves and therefore think about the value we add to others.

At the end of the day, the true power of leadership is influence. It’s not about controlling people or manipulating our position or authority; it’s about giving people reason to believe they can improve their life as well as the lives of others.

To excel as a leader, all you need to do is understand that people aren’t fixed entities who operate in a linear fashion. We are conscious beings who have the ability to change our mindset and therefore our actions and behaviours.

By inspiring others to do more, you can change their relevance and experience as a person.

Better still, you can awaken potential that’s latent in most thereby encouraging them to be a better version of themselves.

How? By being the best version of yourself.

In other words, the more you think about who you are and what you could be, the better you will be; not just for those you work with but also for those you care for.
