Darren Shand (NZ) was the All Blacks Manager from 2004 to 2023. For more than two decades, Darren was the driving force behind the culture and high-performance environment that shaped the All Blacks into the world’s most successful international sports team.
His focus on building the “team around the team” created an environment that underpinned the All Black’s phenomenal success on the world stage including a winning percentage of over 75% across more than 600 tests; a figure unrivalled in international sport. This included back-to-back World Cup victories in 2011 and 2015, runner-up in 2023, and the first professional team to go undefeated during an International season in 2013. In his time, the All Blacks won the Southern Hemisphere Tri-Nations and Rugby Championship 15 times, the Grand Slams against the four UK Home Nations 3 times, World Rugby Team of the Year 10 times, and the World Sports Team of the Year in 2015.
Darren (Shandy) has joined Vantaset to help both corporates and sporting organisations globally realise a step change in their performance.
